PHM Philippines and other social movements action on the state of the nation!

On July 24 Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte delivered his second State of the Nation Address. Outside the Philippine Congress, social movements brought the People's State of the Nation Address. The Coalition for the People's Right to Health demanded free health care (green streamer) while other health groups called for the respect for human rights and an end to war and martial law on the island of Mindanao. (blue streamer) At the end of the rally, the president himself decided to come out and address the crowd of more than 30.000 people. But right before him, People's Health Movement regional coordinator Delen de la Paz gave a rousing speech about the true state of the nation's health and the people's demands.
