PHA3 FILM AND DOCUMENTARY FESTIVAL AND SHOWINGS

The PHA3 film and documentary festival is taking shape! Following organisations in South Africa have committed themselves to be part of a coordinating team:

- Osato Dixon - Film producer
The program is being developed and will be in line with the themes of the PHA3. For most films, discussions will be facilitated followin the showings.

PHA3 CULTURAL FESTIVAL

PHA3 offers a platform for the movement to express itself, celebrate achievements, analyse global health, strengthen solidarity, facilitate learning and sharing, re-assess past activities, build networks and make new and valuable connections! It also offers a platform for exchange of ideas and cultures through creative means. We encourage PHM friends to assist in shaping the cultural and creative spaces within PHA, within the framework of strategising towards Health for All.
This can be done by bringing music, theatre and art from your region and country to Cape Town and by organising mass events, self organised workshops and sessions. Through these we can use PHA3 as a space to connect and share.
There will be display space, screens for video showings (documentaries, short films, promotional video's etc), stages for music and theatre, space for art work etc . We will organise these logistics to facilitate your contributions!

Your chance to make PHA3 a grass roots event!
PHA3 is approaching! A large number of activists from around the globe have already registered.
However, there is a shortage in funding for grassroots activists and community based organizations to participate. We appeal for contributions no matter how small or large to support participation of people from the South in the PHA3!

The PHA3 logo was developed following an international logo contest amongst PHM activists. PHM would like to thank the South African PHM student Coalition for organising this logo design contest and would like to thank everybody who submitted ideas.
During the logo design contest people were asked to bring their ideas for a PHA3 logo based on PHM's vision statement.
Equity, ecologically‐sustainable development and peace are at the heart of our vision of a better world ‐ a world in which a healthy life for all is a reality; a world that respects, appreciates and celebrates all life and diversity; a world that enables the flowering of people's talents and abilities to enrich each other; a world in which people's voices guide the decisions that shape our lives.
Vision of PHM
The winning logo was used as inspiration for the designer to develop the final logo. Out of that flowed a logo standing for togetherness, Ubuntu, community and solidarity. It is about finding solutions together and sharing stories, experiences and ideas to achieve health for all. It is about linking local with global and stands for one world where everybody has the opportunity to live a decent and healthy life.
