PHM/Ghana presents civil society's position to the Ghana delegates attending WHA70!

PHM Ghana, Health Services Workers' Union of TUC and other civil society organisation participated in an extensive civil society consultation of the issues to be discussed at WHA70. On the 17th of May, PHM Ghana met with the head of Ghana's delegation to WHA to present civil society's position. The position paper prepared was submitted to the Ministers office and all of Ghana's delegations including the executive secretary in Ghana who is the permanent rep to WHO Executive Board and World Health Assembly.

PHM annouces new WHO Tracker website!!

PHM is delighted to advise the launch of PHM’s new tool for following debate in WHO governing bodies: the WHO Tracker.   

PHM GHANA Civil Society Consultation ahead of the 70th World Health Assembly

The 70th World Health Assembly will be held in Geneva from 22 - 31 May 2017. Ahead of the Assembly, PHM/Ghana convened a two-day national civil society consultation( 11 to 12 May) to review agenda items that will be coming up for consideration and prepare a civil society position paper on the key items.

WHO Reform: Call for a global mobilization around the democratization of global health governance

First ever North America People’s Health Assembly (PHA) in Montreal

PHM-Canada and PHM-USA successfully carried out the first ever North America People’s Health Assembly (PHA) in Montreal on 15 August 2016.

PHM Submission to the WHO/OHCHR High Level Working Group on Health and Human Rights

During the World Health Assembly in May this year WHO and the Office of the High Commission on Human Rights (OHCHR) announced a High Level Working Group (HLWG) on Health and Human Rights with a mandate focused largely around the Global Strategy for Women's, Children's and Adolescent's Health. On Oct 16th, the HLWG issued a call for submissions (here) seeking inputs by 6 November. The call lists the objectives of the HLWG and highlights the kinds of inputs that the WG is seeking in submissions.
