The charter articulates the existing challenges of the health system that undermine efforts at making the health for all a reality. It is a document that civil society organizations and especially health activists, practitioners, media and indeed everyone should advocate for adoption by their respective governments.
My concern is whether the relevant stakeholders are aware of the charter; for as it is said, 'my people perish for lack of knowledge'. Thus the first definite step towards giving life to the charter is wide publicity.
The document should be given the widest publicity and members of the various country circles of PHM should be in the vanguard of strong advocacy for access to health for all. Perhaps, this mass movement will make greater impact if more country circles are formed, especially in Africa.
