Governance
IPHU has emerged as a project of the International People’s Health Council as a contribution to the development of the people’s health movement. IPHC is incorporated as a stichting under Dutch law.
However, the IPHU is much more of a partnership than a singular project closely involving PHM at central, regional and national levels and local partner universities as well as IPHC.
The teachers and alumni are critical elements in this partnership network. The teachers who have resourced different IPHU courses bring a wealth of experience and expertise from across a very broad range of backgrounds (see Faculty). The alumni of previous courses are also a rich resource in organising and running courses.
Affiliated universities
The IPHU is working with a network of partner universities; largely informal partnerships at this stage but moving towards more formal affiliation agreements.
Relationships with PHM
IPHU is part of the People's Health Movement and depends closely on the initiative and support of PHM, in particular, the regional, national and local structures of PHM.
