Ceremony of the Indigenous Peoples of the World

The time has come, the voices of the Earth call us together!

From the ancient Andes, in the sacred site of Pumapungo, the ceremonial center of the ancient Cañari-Inca city Tumipamba, in Cuenca, Ecuador, healers from the five continents, and from the four directions of the world (who are attending the Second People's Health Assembly will carry out a joint healing ceremony for Mother Earth, the Pachamama, as well as for the minds, bodies, and spirits of all of her children, to receive the blessings of the ancestors through water, fire, air, and earth.

By the thousands, we have returned
This universal and intercultural ceremony of the native peoples of the world will be a symbolic act; connecting with Father Sun and Mother Earth, raising a tribute to the four winds, and in this way developing the dialogue on the knowledge and practices of different cultures and alternative models of life and health. There will be dances, traditional songs and ancestral music, and offerings of sacred foods and drinks to connect with nature. Likewise, healing elements including native plants, feathers, stones, fire, air, hands, and drums will be used to radiate well-being to all those present at the ceremony.

Millennium Declaration of the Native Peoples of the World

The Native Peoples of the World, as a call to restore harmony, peace, and health on the planet, will present their declaration of commitment and unity from this ancient Andean space.
