The 5th People’s Health Assembly of the People’s Health Movement will take place in the city of Cali in Colombia. This is the second time that PHA will take place in Latin America after PHA 2 was held in Cuenca, Ecuador in 2005. The tentative dates are 4-8 December 2023.

5th People’s Health Assembly PHA5 in Cali, Colombia
Vibrant, diverse, dazzling and feisty, Santiago de Cali in the Colombian Pacific will host the Fifth People’s Health Assembly of the People’s Health Movement in december 2023. Nearly three thousand activists, representatives of movements and organizations fighting for the right to health in 80 countries will gather in Santiago de Cali to discuss the state of the right to health, health systems and the social determinants of health around the world.

Call for proposals for design of the logo of the 5th People’s Health Assembly (PHA5) to be held in Cali, Colombia, in December 2023We are pleased to announce that the People’s Health Movement (PHM) is seeking proposals for the design of the logo for the Fifth People’s Health Assembly (PHA5). The Assembly is the flagship event for the PHM, bringing together activists, health workers, public health professionals, health policy makers, researchers and community members from around the world to discuss critical issues related to health equity and social justice.
Colombia prepares to host PHA5 in 2023
With a preparatory workshop in Santiago de Cali on February 17 and 18, in which the social forces struggling for the right to health converged, the organization of the 5th People’s Health Assembly -PHA5- began.At the workshop, the PHM Colombia, as host country, drew its roadmap for the organization of the PHA5 to be held in Colombia in December 2023.
People’s Health Tribunal Concept Note
This paper provides an overview of the proposed People’s Tribunal on Transnational Corporations’ Violations of the Right to Health, and will guide the development of a more detailed roadmap to realise, secure and guarantee the universal right to health against transnational corporate violation.
